[FSK] -Operation Apollo



BACKGROUND

Just over a month ago, Lee Bacak, an undercover SWAT officer, successfully infiltrated a dangerous LA gang in the hope of gathering some evidence on them which would allow us to put them away for good. We already know they are dangerous - three of their members were recently sentenced to life in jail for the kidnap and torture of a number of innocent civilians over the period of a year. Whilst we have evidence pending on many other members of this gang, we are holding it back in an attempt to pin something on the gang as a whole - which would hopefully rid the streets of them for good. Word spread to us through the undercover cop that a deal was taking place tonight at a small motel in central LA. Money will be handed over from our gang to another, smaller up-and-coming gang, who have yet to make their presence known on the streets. This deal marks the convergance of these two gangs, who together would pose a formidable threat to both civilians and law officers such as yourselves.

Your objective tonight is to infiltrate the motel and prevent the deal from taking place using any means necessary. We have reason to believe that the money being handed over is from a recent raid on a jewellery store, not so far from the motel itself. A car matching the description of one owned by our gang was reported as being at the scene...the license plate was partly identified and this is evidence enough for now.


PRE-MISSION BRIEFING

Everything was going to plan until around 9:30pm. The owner of both the Apollo motel and next-door Apollo diner has been assaulted in his living quarters by one or more gang members. We were unable to get a clear view of the proceedings, therefore we are unable to ascertain whether he is still alive. A car pulled up outside the motel reception area and 3 men stepped out. One proceeded to deal with the motel/diner manager, whilst the other two are believe to have made their way next door to the diner. There is an entrance to this diner in the back of the reception area. Intelligence at the scene reports that two or three late night customers are being held inside the diner. This effectively means that the threats have occupied the entire complex, and secured it ready for the deal to take place. Any customers occupying the motel rooms are also being held by suspects, or have been locked in, possibly still unaware of the events unfolding around them.

THE CRIME SCENE

The motel is a simple, one level complex. Five rooms accompany an reception area and a managers room. The place is showing its age, both in terms of internal design and external structure - you shouldn't have too much trouble breaching the doors with C2, they're hardly sturdy anymore.

The diner is quite a small part of the complex. Large glass windows at the front and left side mean that any entry from
this angle would leave your team exposed to the threats inside. We recommend you enter from the reception area of the motel, although the option to enter from either angle is available to you. The actual building consists of a seating area and a bar, a kitchen and two restrooms, as well as a side room which is attached to the motel.

THE OPERATION

We need you to clear out the entire complex. Innocents will be occupying some of the motel rooms, whilst the threats will be in the others. Evacuate the civilians inside the motel and diner to ensure their safety. Also, be wary of our man who will be inside the motel with the gang, provided his cover hasn't been blown by then. Precise marksmanship is the key

- Rescue all civilians.
- Eliminate all threats.
- Safely evacuate our undercover officer.
